Junior Volunteer Application

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital!

This application is for students who are:

• At least 15 years old
• Under 18 years old

If you are under the age of 15, you may still volunteer through our Green Team program for families and younger volunteers.

Important Information for Parents & Students

Parents, please do not complete this application on your student's behalf. Applicants should complete the form themselves, with assistance as needed. This helps us communicate directly with each volunteer and ensures they understand the commitment involved.

Volunteer positions are limited, and available opportunities will be discussed during orientation.

Please note:

• Junior Volunteers do not work directly with animals
• Junior Volunteers do not feed or handle animals
• Volunteer responsibilities may include assisting with events, grounds, education support, administrative tasks, and other projects

Orientation & Communication

After submitting your application:

• You will receive an email invitation to a Microsoft Teams orientation meeting
• Please add the orientation to your calendar and set a reminder so you do not miss it
• You will also receive confirmation and reminder emails from Signup.com for your selected orientation date

The email address you provide on this application will be our primary method of communication, so please check it regularly.

Before You Submit

Once you submit the application:

• You will have the option to save or print a copy of your responses
• If you see the option to save your responses, your application was submitted successfully

Please note that this form does not automatically collect your name or email address unless you enter that information yourself.
