Camp Wild
Frequently Asked Questions

Camp Wild is an outdoor environmental camp for kids ages 6 - 12. Campers will enjoy a variety of activities in our covered outdoor classroom and grounds.

Camp will be offered over the 9 weeks of summer break (June 8th-August 7th, 2026).

Camp Wild Runs from 9am to 3pm. Early care begins at 8am and aftercare begins at 3:00pm and runs until 5pm. Please note that every hour of extra care costs $10.

Registration cost for the full week is $225 for members and $250 for non-members.

Registration cost for a CIT is $100 for the week.

To qualify for the member rate, you will need a Fox Family membership, which costs $50 and is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. If you would like to purchase a membership, please visit this link: Click Here to purchase membership

No refunds for camp will be made unless notice is given one full week in advance or camp is full. A $25 processing fee per week canceled will be charged for all cancellations.

A CIT is a Counselor In Training. This allows students (ages 13 and 14) that are still too young to apply for a counselor position for a leadership role in camp. They will be working with the counselors to assist the campers in the week's activities. CITs pay a reduced rate of $100/week.  There are two spaces each week available for the CITs.

Campers will need the following: reusable water bottle, snack, lunch, and a change of clothes. We suggest that they apply sunscreen and bug spray as well.

Camp Wild is a technology-free camp designed to encourage outdoor exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning. Phones, smart watches, tablets, gaming devices, Bluetooth headphones, and similar electronics are not permitted during camp hours.

We encourage families to leave these devices at home so campers can fully engage with nature, activities, and their fellow campers.

If you need to reach your child during the day, please contact the office and we will gladly relay a message or bring your child to the phone. Campers may also use the office phone if they need to contact a parent or guardian.

Parents are asked to stay in their vehicles and release their campers to the designated SNC staff member in the drop-off loop one at a time. Pick up will work the same. There will be a staff member posted at 3pm at the designated pick up spot outside of the administration building. Please pull up to the check-in area and without getting out of your car, inform the staff member the name of the camper you are picking up. Please have identification ready to be verified by staff.

Invoicing is done through PayPal. You DO NOT need a PayPal account in order to make a payment.  You will receive an invoice within a couple of days of submitting your registration provided that there is availability for the days you have selected. If you would like to pay by check please drop off the check during business hours. Please note that your child's spot is not secured until payment is received.

If you have any questions please email us at education@sawgrassnaturecenter.org or call us at 954-752-9453 during business hours.
