Come join us at the center every Wednesday at 10 AM and enjoy an adventure in nature with your child, exploring and learning more about our environment and the creatures that inhabit it. Each class has a different theme, featuring story time, nature observation, a live animal visit, and a craft to take home.

Start time: 10 AM

Duration: 1 hour

Cost: $8 ($5 for SNC members) per child

Nature Explorers OCTOBER THEMES - (subject to change)

  • Oct 1 - Meet Marsala the Rooster (and learn why chickens scratch!)
  • Oct 8 – Freshwater Friends (meet three species of aquatic turtle!)
  • Oct 15 – Slithering Snakes (meet a native rat snake and learn what makes them special)
  • Oct 22 - Cunning Camouflage (meet camouflaging creatures and make your own camouflage suit!) 
  • Oct 29 – HOO! (learn about owls and bats, the not-so-spooky creatures of the night!)

Please contact the center (954-752-9453) for more information. Please call at least 24 hours in advance to register, to ensure adequate space and materials for your child. Payments can be made over the phone, or at the front office upon arrival and sign-in.
